Blogger Picks | Favourite Bloggers of 2015

Clearly you can see I'm on a bit of a round-up spree of all my favourite things from last year, so here's some of my favourite bloggers.
I couldn't included them all or we would be here all day. Enjoy!

Anna Saccone Joly | Anna Saccone
| 1/2/3/4/5/6 |

I absolutely love the SacconeJoly vlogs, and the only reason I started watching their vlogs was because of Anna's blog. I started following her shortly after she became pregnant with Emilia, which was over 3 years ago now. I love reading her posts, I love her relationship with Jonathan and I absolutely love watching and reading about her absolutely gorgeous children!

Emily Schuman - Cupcakes & Cashmere
| 1/2/3 |

Emily is one of the many bloggers where I can't remember when I started following her blog or how I even found out about her. I think she was first featured in my 2014 September Blogger Picks, so I'm going to guess I started following her sometime that month; and my, my, my how time has flown. She now has the most gorgeous little girl.

Helena Glazer | Brooklyn Blonde
| 1/2/3/4/5/ |

Helena is another blogger I've featured in one of my monthly picks, and it's only now that I've realised that not only does she give me coat envy, but also jean and jumper envy. Is that a bit much?
And to make it eve better, a few weeks ago she revealed that she's pregnant! That's definitely going to be one stylish baby!

Life | New Things

Well, well, well!

2015 came and went so quickly and now we're already seeing the last few days of January.
Last year was a pretty good year:

  • I set myself a goal to read 100 books in one year, which I smashed finishing my goal Goodreads 2015 Reading Challenge on 134 books
  • Started driving lessons in April
  • Got a new job back in August joining the world of full-time workers
  • Went on holiday to Mallorca

Probably the biggest thing out of that list is the fact that I got a new job. Finally after a little over two years I finally said goodbye to my part-time retail job and said hello to office work, just over a year since I graduated.

I feel like 2016 is the year for me to start doing more things, so for the first time ever I actually have some goals that I want to accomplish (although this post is quite late so some things I've already done):

  • Films - I've set myself another goal, but this year I'm going back to what why I created this blog. More on that here
  • Get my driving license - I've already had one test which sadly I failed after I let my nerves get the better of me, so on to the next one it is!
  • Holiday - I've just booked my first holiday abroad without my parents. I'm heading to Amsterdam with my sister and some friends for a hen do.
  • Buy a DSLR - I've been going on about this for ages but I really want to buy a DSLR. My little Samsung bridge camera is really good, but I find that it's not good in certain situations. I've been looking around for a long time but I think I'm leaning towards a Nikon D3300.
  • Save - At age 22 I think it's time I started saving up money for house stuff. I currently still live at home with my parents but I think it's time I started saving up so that I can get my own place.

What are your goals for this year?

Challenge | 150 Films in One Year

Well, there you go! I've finally written this post so now it's official.

So wayyy back in 2010 I decided to watch 100 films I'd never seen before in one year (100 Films in One Year), and one of my teachers at the time suggested that I create a blog to document my progress and so I did just that.
110 films later my goal was accomplished and I decided to keep the blog and continue writing about the films that I had seen.

Now 6 years after accomplishing my 2010 goal I've decided it's time to attempt another one, but this time I'm going to stretch it a little bit further and attempt to watch 150 films I've never seen before in one year.

Here's a little preview look at 3 films I've watched so far!
150 Films One Year
Ant-Man | In Order of Disappearance | Pitch Black

I'm excited, are you?

Film | Worst Films of 2015

(according to Empire)

12. She's Funny That Way || 11. Accidental Love || 10. Jupiter Ascending || 9. Aloha || 8. Anti-Social || 7. Monsters Dark Continent || 6. Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 || 5. No Escape || 4. Hot Tub Time Machine 2 || 3. The Fantastic Four || 2. United Passions || 1. Terminator Genisys

I've not actually seen any of these films, which is quite bad of me, plus I fell like I only went to the cinema last year to watch Jurassic World. Monsters Dark Continent and The Fantastic Four were however on my list of films to see last year, I really loved the Fantastic Four film from 2005 so I think I'll definitely make time to watch this remake.
I'm not so sure if I want to watch Dark Continent anymore, I think I'll watch the first one again to refresh my memory

For me the name of this post is incredibly accurate, I've not seen or even heard of most of the films in this list.

I have however seen Housebound (which I really liked) and I did actually start to watch Force Majeure, I think I maybe watched around 35-40 minutes before the silence became too much to handle so I turned it off and started watching something else.
Is that bad? Actually I know its bad but it was way too quiet for me and I have to be in a particular mood to watch films in foreign languages.

Goodreads 2015 Reading Challenge

Well hello there! That's it 2015 has finished so that means the end of my reading challenge. It's been a while since I've posted about my challenge, in fact the last post I wrote about it was my September update.

Back in September I think I was on 106 books and 29,273 pages, but now that the year is finally over I can officially say that I finished my goal with 134 books and over 37,478 pages. According to Goodreads the shortest book I've read is Venom at 91 pages, the longest is City of Heavenly Fire 725 pages and the most popular book I've read is The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

To see the complete list of books that I read take a look see at my Year in Books.

Here's a few of the last books I read in 2015. Enjoy!
