OOTD: A Day Out

Cami, Primark - £5 | Indigo Double Zip Jeans, Mint Velvet - £17.25 | Bag, Primark - £9 | Pumps, Primark - £4

So I wore this earlier a couple of weeks back on a trip to Lakeside with a friend for some shopping and lunch.

Again wearing my work jeans, I need to invest in more jeans as these are the only pair I wear so I'm looking at the Topshop Joni jeans next. I bought this cami a couple of weeks back, I originally picked up a longer cotton version with a racer back but this one is so much lighter which is better for this crazy weather we've been having.
I wanted a black bag to replace one of my old black bags and this one caught my eye instantly, I tend to gravitate towards black bags because they go with everything and I love cross-body bags.

What I'm Excited To See- Tarzan 3D (2014)

So at the end of June I did the my first post on my Most Rewatched Films which included the 1999 Disney Tarzan movie, and doing a small bit of research (typing Tarzan into Google) I found out that another Tarzan movie is being made!

Now I didn't know whether to make this the 2nd post of What I'm Excited to See because I'm not sure if I'm excited or just horrified. Firstly I'm not keen on the use of motion capture, I think that might be because I'm just so used to thinking of Tarzan the animated Disney way that I can't picture it looking any other way.
Plus the Disney one has a soundtrack featuring Phil Collins, I mean how much better can it get. The story of both the Disney version and the 3D one differ the original story, in the Disney version Tarzan and his parents escape a burning ship before his parents are later killed by Sabor whereas in the 3D one his parents were killed in a plane crash and he is the only survivor.

Doing a little more reading I found some connections between these films and the original story one being that Tarzan's real name is John Clayton, Earl Greystoke; Clayton being his enemy in the 1999 Disney film and Greystoke being the name of his father's company in the 3D film.

I don't know much more about the film and I haven't seen the trailer but I have to say after doing a bit of reading I'm am looking forward to seeing what Tarzan 3D will be like.

Anyone else intrigued??

Devil (John Erick Dowdle, 2010)

devil film poster

Cast: Chris Messina, Logan Marshall-Green, Jenny O'Hara, Geoffrey Arend, Jacob Vargas, Bokeem Woodbine, Bojana Novakovic

Summary: A group of people are trapped in an elevator where one of them is not what they seem.

Genre: Horror, Thriller, Mystery

I actually got this film confused with Blackout (2008) when it first started and then I realised after a few minutes I actually had no idea what I was watching so I wasn’t sure about what to expect.

Now if you know me or if you've read some of my other reviews post you'll know that I don't really watch horror films because I'm a total wimp, so of course I was a little nervous about watching the film especially since I watched it at night all by myself.

I loved how the film starts with something you really were not expecting to happen, like at all and how everything that follows seems to be somehow linked to this first event.
I really liked the mystery surrounding the whole event and each character, everyone's under suspicion and no one is safe and I loved the use of unknown/not well known actors (I've only heard of a couple of them), which for me makes it just a little bit more realistic.
devil film still
I know people have questioned a few of M. Night Shyamalan's films such as The Happening (which I think is pretty cool) and The Last Airbender, but if this film is anything to go by The Night Chronicles trilogy looks set to be pretty good. (Edit: Or maybe not because 5 years later the second film hasn’t come out.)
Personally I think this film is great, the fact that the director is able to keep people interested and in suspense when the majority of the action takes place in one small room is a good sign.

A few days after watching the film I was waiting outside an elevator with my family for a good 15 minutes not knowing that a mother and child were stuck inside screaming and banging for help.

ASOS Saved List

Click the images to take you to the items

I've been getting into bodycon dress and skirts recently hence the number of tight dress in my saved list, the black midi dress with the lace sides is my absolute favourite. I tried on the maxi dress at work in electric blue and navy, both the maxi and the midi had lace sides and back but the maxi has cap sleeves and a thigh high split at the side. I couldn't bring myself to buy it (despite only being like £60) as I don't have any where to wear it so I went looking for a shorter version, sadly the only colours I can find are peach, black and cream.

I absolutely love the strappy back on the red dress, I love the mesh panels on the first dress and I'm totally feeling the whole dungarees trend but I'm not to sure I could pull it off but I love the way it's been styled here.

OOTD: Uniform #1

Indigo Double Zip Jeans, Mint Velvet - £17.25 | Honey Wrap Back Tee, Mint Velvet - £13.75 | Shoes, Linzi - £12

So here's the first of another new feature on the ol' blog, specifically for my work uniform. There's only a couple of pictures with this one as I wasn't happy with the other images.

I really love this top as it has this gorgeous open back, although it is a little big (I bought the size 10 as the 8 had sold out) so I'm always worried that everyone can see down my top when I lean forward. It's currently in the sale so if you like it go buy it before it sells out, it also comes in Aqua.

Things I've Made- #1 Surreal Film

So I thought I'd do a small series of posts dedicated to the short films I've made so this first one is a short surrealist film I made in my final year at sixth form. Now with this one when I say made I mean edited along with one other person in my group and it took an incredibly long time.
The guy in the film (Connor) was also part of my group and stepped in at the last minute during filming to replace the other guy we were using.
The editing isn't completely prefect but that's the effect we were going for, so I think it looks pretty darn good. My two favourites things the random touches of colour which is mainly orange and the scene with Connor banging on the window trying to get the Chloe's attention.

What did you think of it?

OOTD: Mina Maxi

Mina Print Maxi Dress, Mint Velvet - £55 | Denim Vest, Forever 21 - £19.75 | Studded Gladiator Sandals | Bag, Primark - £9

Woooow it's been so hot recently, which makes going to work an absolute drag. I convinced myself back in May that I was going to buy a maxi dress so I tried on this dress along with this and this, but as I'm such an awkward size the size 8's were to big.
A few days ago I saw the size 10 on the shop floor and I thought hey what the hell I can always wear a belt with it and so I bought it, and I'm so glad I did because I absolutely love the print and the material is amazingly light and airy.

The denim vest was a belated birthday gift that I got back in June that I hadn't worn yet, I didn't really wear it yesterday it was in my bag most of the day but I thought I'd bring it with me just in case.

What do you think of this outfit?

New In

| Indigo Double Zip Jeans, Mint Velvet - £69 | Batman Black Leggings, Romwe - Giveaway Win | Black Sports Pant, Mint Velvet - £69 |

| Denim Shirt, Primark via Asos - £10 | Denim Vest, Forever 21 - £19.75 |

| Black Pinafore Dress, River Island - £20 |

| Honey Wrap Back Tee, Mint Velvet - £55

Sorry about the weird lighting and the almost impossible to see dress.

So the jeans, sports pants and the wrap back tee are all part of my uniform at work and I got them all with my staff discount. I pratically live in these jeans and I got them in a size 8 which was a first for me, I don't think I'll wear them much when doing practical work at uni as I don't want to ruin them.
I've not worn the leggings or the waistcoat but I plan to wear the waistcoat when the weather's nice on one of my days off.

I wore this shirt in my Father's Day Outfit. Finally this pinafore dress was bought during my trip to brighton and for £20! I was a little unsure of how to wear it at first but I've managed to style it a few different ways.
