OOTD: Harlequin

Jacket, H&M - Gift | Top, Primark -£6 | Diamond Pants, Choies - $32.99 | Boots, Linzi

So months ago I won $30 from Choies after taking part in one of their giveaways. I really wanted these trousers so I waited ages for them to go on sale and when they did I quickly ordered them and they finally came sometime last week.
I ordered an S (a UK 8) so I was a little worried that they wouldn't fit but they're not too bad I just have wear them a little higher so they're shorter on my legs then they should be. I wore these to my Aunt's house on Saturday and I paired it with my burnout top, black army boots and my leather sleeve jacket.

I won one other giveaway after the Choies one which I'll feature in a outfit post in a couple of days.

Btw: I'm blogging from Brighton!! Oh and I've taken out my hair extensions so it back to it's short mess, but it has grown which is what I wanted so I think I'll get it done again when I get paid.

The Brits Who Cracked America

The Brits Who Cracked America is an infographic created by the team at Vouchercloud, a UK money-saving website and app who have just launched in the US.
Not only does it look at some pretty cool actors but it also looks at musicians old and new, sports stars and TV personalities.

Now these are only some of the Brits who have cracked America so what others can you think of?

Blogger Picks | The Movie Life of JP

Name: Jaye
Age: 20
What do you do: Full time Film Student/Part time Sales Adviser
Time Blogging: 3 years

How did you get into blogging?

I started blogging in January 2010 when I set myself a goal to watch 100 films I had never seen before in one year. I was in my final year at sixth form when I started, I already had two blogs for my coursework and one of my film teachers suggested that I write about the films I watch on a blog. God knows how many films later (although they're not all on here) here I am, the contents of the blog has changed a bit since I first started but I'm still going.

Pick one of your favourite bloggers and tell us why you love them.

Lulutrixabelle has definitely got to be one of my favourites, pretty sure her blog was the first blog I followed. Lucy is just amazing, I love her style, I love the way she writes, she's mega gorgeous and she come across so natural and confident.

Images taken from Lulutrixabelle

Name 3 of your favourite actors/actresses.

Robert Downey Jr, Dwayne Johnson (mainly for his hotness but he's done a couple of good movies), Guy Pearce, Jodie Foster and Saoirse Ronan.

Pick 5 of your favourite films.

Four Brothers - I love this film beyond words, which reminds me I haven't seen it in a while (my dvd player's broken). Mark Wahlberg, Garrett Hedlund, Terrence Howard and Chiwetel Ejiofor all in one movie for me = pure heaven!

The Lost World: Jurassic Park - My favourite of the three films I think and all because of Jeff Goldblum, well not the only reason but the main reason. I just can't get enough of him.

Let The Right One In - I either read the book first then watched the film or the other way round, but I remember that it answered some questions I had as well as confusing me more. The book was brilliant and the film was just beautiful.

Spirited Away - The first Studio Ghibli film I ever watched which began mine and my sisters fascination with the collection.

Poseidon - I absolutely love the original but this remake is my favourite. I've watched it an insane amount of times and it's one of the films that I could watch on repeat.

Two personal favourite reviews

Cloverfield and The Lovely Bones

and so concludes the first instalment of this new feature. I'm hoping to do one every 2 weeks with a different blogger featured. If you want to be involved in one of these leave a comment with your email address and I'll get back to you.
What kind of questions do you want to be answered, is blogger picks a good name or should I change it? Obviously questions will change depending on who's being featured, but I still want to know what you think is good and what not. Let me know all your thoughts as I want to make this a good as I can.

ps. sorry I put this up really late, just spent the last couple hours picking my classes for next year.

I'm Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

So after a 3hour exam yesterday I have officially finished my second year at UNI!! It has been such a difficult year for me as I found myself struggling with every essay and doubting my writing abilities, but 7 modules, 2 scripts, 1 production, 6 insanely good friends, 1 exam and countless essays later I have survived. Whether I've past or not is a different thing :o

Hopefully I have, but I won't find out for a few months.

That means I'm free to do whatever I want! Well now that's not really true. I'll be able to get back to my blogging and I'll make more of an effort to comment on blogs that I read, making art which I'm really excited about and I'll actually be able to watch the ridiculous amount of unwatched DVDs that's building up on my shelf.
Well I don't know how I'll get on with that last one seeing as my dvd player no longer works.

Now onto my big news that I mentioned in this post. After years of searching I finally managed to get a part-time job!!!!! I am officially a style advisor for Mint Velvet at House of Fraser, Oxford Street. I've been there a few weeks and I am really loving it. The brand I work for is relatively new and most people I know haven't heard of it, but I'll do a post on them some time soon and I'll take some pictures of where I work.

I'll be back tomorrow with the first installment of my new blogger feature!

OOTD: Crayons

Jumper, EVER OURS - £7 | Jeans, H&M - £7 | Bag, Primark - Gift

So another outfit post! I wore this last Saturday on a packed day out with the family. After an early start we headed off to my Nan's house in central London where we all had a nice catch up and were fed delicious soup before we went on our way to the hospital to visit my poorly Grandad.
I did try to get some work on my essay done but being with my cousins I tend to get distracted, more then usual

Now onto the outfit. I haven't worn these jeans for a couple of months, I've only just rediscovered them after putting them in the wash ages ago. The sun was out so I thought I'd throw on the lightest pair of jeans I have. I paired it with my amazing jumper from EVER OURS (with a vest underneath because it was a bit chilly) and brought my massive bag along so I could bring my laptop, charger and some uni stuff.

More Changes + Leave me your blog links

Hey guys! So I've finally handed in the last essay of my 2nd year at uni now all I have left is an exam on the 21st, so I have a bit of free time before I start revising.

It's the beginning of a new month and I've been thinking about doing a new feature, maybe once every two weeks or once a month, like a Q&A but with other bloggers no matter what they blog about. I'll start off with myself first of all sometime next week, and then if that all goes well I'll start emailing other bloggers or you can just leave a comment on the post saying you want to be involved.
A bit of exciting news, (for me rather then you guys but you might get something out of it). I'll tell you about it in a few weeks when everything's more certain

Finally I'll be up to my usual tricks and tinkering about with my layout and HTML codes, so the blog might look a bit strange at times. Oh and leave me your blog links or links to your favourite blogs!!
